Then it will be open 7 days a week until August 9th, and then weekends until September 27th. No food, drinks, glass containers, toys and floats are allowed in the spray park.

White Sands Lake Day Beach: With a aqua park, beaches, boat rentals, White Sands Lake is a great place to spend the day with the family cooling off. $15 for adults and $10 for children 4 and up, gets you admission to the beach and aqua park for the whole day.

Abita Splash Pad: Located near the Abita Springs Trailhead Museum there are dozens of water jets at different heights for kids and grown-ups to have fun and cool off. Best of all it’s FREE! Open dawn until dusk!

Water Playgrounds at Local State Parks: Tickfaw in Springfield, Fontainebleau in Mandeville, and St. Bernard in Braithwaite all have water playgrounds for kids and grown ups to cool off and play. Fees depend on the park, most are $2 a person. Water playgrounds are open Tuesdays-Sundays from 8am-8pm from April 1st to October 31st.

Bayou Segnette Wave Pool: Located in Bayou Segnette State Park in Westwego, the wave pool is opened Wednesday through Sunday and Holiday Monday’s Memorial Day through August 1st and on a moderated schedule August 1st through Labor Day.
