Family Movie Night 10 Movies About Moving

Need to take a break from all the stress of moving? Why not have a family movie night? We’ve rounded up 10 of our favorite movies about moving, rent one or stream it from Netflix or Amazon and sit back, relax and enjoy the show!

Toy Story Trilogy: We couldn’t pick just one from this trio of movies because all three are great. Have a movie marathon and watch Andie move, grow up and go away for collage. Also make sure you have the tissues handy because no one gets through Toy Sory 3 without tears!

Karate Kid: Wax on, wax off, wax on, wax off! Skip the newer version and go back to the original with this classic. Also don’t hurt yourself trying to do that crane kick, you’re much older now!

Money Pit: Ever move into that house that was perfect until you moved in? That’s what happens to Tom Hanks and Shelly Longs characters in this hysterical movie!

Cheaper By the Dozen: Moving with one kid is rough, moving with twelve OH MY… this cute comedy with Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt will have everyone laughing.

Raising Helen: This cute movie is about three kids that move in with their single aunt. Together they grow up and figure out how to make it all work with a few laughs among the way.

Funny Farm: Chevy Chase is his funny self in this movie about a writer who buys a home in the country for the peace and quiet to write The Great American Novel and gets anything but!

Coming to America: Eddy Murphy stars in this comedy about an African prince who moves to New York to find a wife.

Footloose: Teen age rebellion, fun music, a young Kevin Bacon! This is another movie you should stick with the original and skip the remake!

Because of Winn Dixie: An adorable movie about a dog that helps a lonely girl when she moves to a new town! This movie or even the book, would be great for kids to watch before a big move!

Remember the Titans: This movie is a little heavier than the rest of our list. A true story of a newly appointed African-American high school coach and his team during their first  racially integrated  season.
