Can you believe it’s the middle of October already? This means that Halloween is just around the corner and the city is full of awesome events! Here’s a great list of Halloween fun in New Orleans for the whole family in Orleans and Jefferson Parishes!
Boo at the Zoo: October 17,18, 24 & 25; 5-9pm; Audubon Zoo; A Halloween extravaganza with a ghost train, trick or treating, and more for kids ages 12 and under. The Imagination Movers will be performing on Friday, October 17, 2014; $17/person and children 12 month and under are free.
Boo Carre Halloween and Harvest Festival: October 18; 10am-6pm; Main events in Dutch Alley and the Farmer’s Market; trick or treat stations from Jackson Square to the Farmer’s Market; crafts, pumpkins for sale, mini golf, music, face painting, petting zoo and more.
Ghost in the Oaks: October 24 and 25; Early Admission – 6pm | General Admission – 7pm; City Park; unlimited rides in the Carousel Garden Amusement Park, trick or treating in Storyland, arts and crafts, face painting, music and more; Early Admission – $20 per person | General Admission – $15 per person and $12 per person for members | Children 36 months and younger FREE
Museum Mash: October 25; 5:30-8:30; Louisiana Children’s Museum; Wear a costume for a night of games and a monster mash dance party; $10 per person | $5 per person for members; pre-register at lcm.org
Krewe of Boo: October 30; 6pm; French Quarter; New Orleans official Halloween parade and the only major parade with full size floats to travel through the French Quarter.
Halloween Hoopla: October 18; 5pm; 25 cent carnival games, trunk or treat, face painting, cookie decorating, bounce houses and more; FREE
Park A Boo: October 24 — 5-8pm; October 25 — 1-8:30pm; October 26 – 1-5:30pm; Lafreniere Park; trick or treating, activities, boo house, and more for kids 13 and under and their parents; $7/adults | $5/children 3-12 | 3 and under FREE
